Founder's Day of Giving
Linchris Founder’s Day of Giving began in 2023 to honor Chris Gistis and the company’s 1985 founding. Hotels across the portfolio unite for community service, volunteering at soup kitchens, animal shelters, and neighborhood beautification projects. Employees gave nearly 400 hours in 2023, over 500 in 2024, and more than 690 in 2025—showing a growing commitment to the communities they serve.
On December 1, 2025, we proudly celebrated the 40th anniversary of Linchris.
Founded by Chris Gistis in 1985, Linchris was guided by a commitment to growth and progress from the moment we managed our first hotel. For 40 years, Linchris was about more than hotels — it was about people.
Each year during the week of December 1, teams across all of our hotels and at our corporate office stepped out from behind the front desk and into our communities for the Linchris Founder’s Day of Giving, honoring the legacy of our founder, Chris Gistis.
From soup kitchens and shelters to Boys & Girls Clubs, senior centers, The Salvation Army, the Red Cross, and so many more worthy organizations, our teams rolled up their sleeves to serve, support, and give back.
The 2025 Day of Giving was especially meaningful as we marked our 40th anniversary — 40 years of hospitality, heart, and making a difference together.
