Job Description:
 
Responsible for helping to achieve ongoing guest satisfaction and team goals using guest tracking as a tool for continuous improvement. Responsible for the preventative maintenance of the hotel guestrooms, public space and all related equipment.
 
Technical Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice.
  • Ability to transfer technical expertise to property personnel.
  • Perform, administer, document preventive maintenance programs.
  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Maintain and manage a work order system for the hotel as well as complete work orders on a timely basis.
  • Train all engineering personnel to perform all maintenance and preventative maintenance functions within the hotel in an effort to meet and exceed established Holiday Inn standards and maintain standards to minimize the services of an outside contractor.
  • Work directly with the hotel’s General Manager and Linchris leadership to identify and accomplish all technical and or skilled related projects within the hotel including but not limited to the following:
    •  Perform electrical, plumbing and carpentry projects.
    •  Assist in HVAC unit repair projects.
    •  Guest room repair issues (caulking, tile repair, painting, plumbing, etc.).
    •  Determine needs for contract repair/service.
    •  Perform, administer and document preventative maintenance.
    •  With GM and FOM, implement and manage hotel key control
    •  Carpet repair/tile floor repair.
    •  Minor roof repairs, painting projects, and exterior projects.
    •  Pool/spa repairs as well becoming a Certified Pool Operator (CPO).
    •  With GM, identify skills needed for different projects and train technical people at    property.
    •  Perform capital review, keep status current.
    •  Provide ongoing training for property based engineering personnel.
  • Professionalism and courtesy are to be extended at all times to guests, associates and vendors.
  • Guests should be professionally greeted within 5 ft. of your area when in public areas of the hotel.
  • Associates are to work as a team helping all teammates to complete the required activities which will ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Thoroughly understand the hotel service culture.
  • Practice safety standards at all times. Know all hotel emergency procedures.
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
  • Associates are expected to carry out all reasonable requests by Managers which the associate is capable of performing.
